Our Ethos

Our goal is to provide a support service of excellent quality that will improve and sustain the quality of life for Young People we support

First Right recognises that each young person is unique and will respect the rights, wishes, feelings and needs of each young person. However, when a young person’s behaviour is anti-social, they should be expected to be challenged in a sensitive, tactful manner and to recognise that our responses are deemed to be fair.

First Right believes that young people respond best when they are involved in decision making and are able to reach their full potential when they are supported within an ethos which is sincerely interested in their well-being that takes time to get to know them and accepts them for who they are as individuals. This means that young people are encouraged to recognise their achievements, their potential and are valued for who they are whilst receiving the required support for the duration of their stay.

We aspire to create values and make a difference to young people experiencing difficulties. This will be achieved by displaying good role models, empowering, and inspiring, helping to develop positive independent life skills and a firm foundation of self-worth.
